CME Group Memberships - For High Volume Traders

High volume traders of CME futures products can take advantage of reduced exchange fees on each trade they make by becoming a CME Electronic Corporate Member (ECM-W), leasing an IOM seat, or buying an IOM seat. Normally, retail traders pay $2.28/rt in exchange fees and $.04/rt in NFA fees for an Emini S&P trade. As a member traders do not pay any NFA fees and enjoy the reduced exchange fees below. CME ECM-W

No Monthly Fee (click here for FAQs)

  • Program expires December 31, 2013 (but may be extended by the CME)
  • Minimum of 25 round turns per day (audited quarterly)
  • Emini S&P (ES) and Emini NASDAQ (NQ) futures exchange fee is lowered to $1.28/rt (save $1.04/rt)
  • Currency futures exchange fee is lowered to $1.18/rt (save $2.06/rt)

CME IOM Lease Seat

$350/month cost (as of January 1, 2013, for current rates click here)

  • 3 month minimum term
  • No minimum trade requirements
  • Emini S&P futures exchange fee is:
    • $0.92/rt for 0 – 75 RTs/day
    • $0.55/rt for 75.5 – 750 RTs/day
    • $0.47/rt for 750.5 – 7,500 RTs/day
    • $0.42/rt for 7,500.5+ RTs/day

CME IOM Purchase Seat

$75,000 membership cost (as of January 1, 2013, for current cost click here)

  • Membership can be sold at anytime at current market price
  • No minimum trade requirements
  • Emini S&P futures exchange fee is:
    • $0.69/rt for 0 – 75 RTs/day
    • $0.32/rt for 75.5 – 750 RTs/day
    • $0.24/rt for 750.5 – 7,500 RTs/day
    • $0.19/rt for 7,500.5+ RTs/day
